Application
Hospitals and other health care facilities are filled with sensitive electronic equipment, which everyone depends on for the critical
function of daily operations. While substantial transient voltage that can damage this electronic infrastructure is initiated from
outside the physical building in the form of lighting strikes and grid switching, few realize that the majority of transients are born
from within. Elevators, for instance, create a constant supply of transients that continuously attack the electronics of sensitive
equipment. Cooper Wiring Devices’ Hospital Grade TVSS Receptacles are manufactured from high impact thermoplastics and boast
exceptional clamping and surge current ratings. They are available in Isolated Ground and non-Isolated Ground versions with
optional audible alarms to indicate bad ground connections or that surge protection has expired.
