Assignment 1:
What is your background and interest in the New Century Cities Seminar and what topic
might you wish to explore? (You won't be held to this.) Please post your ideas as soon as
possible so that we can review the range of interests and help shape the topics.
Note that at the conclusion of the semester, we will expect each student to submit a brief
paper developing a topic or question of interest to you that relates to the class. These
papers will be used as part of the briefing material for the new Century Cities Colloquium
in January.
