Alanhurst/Cherrycrest
storm drainage improvement project
YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK
July 2013
Dear Resident,
The Project Team is reviewing alternatives, choosing
the preferred design for the Alanhurst/Cherrycrest
Storm Drainage Improvement Project.
A public meeting will be held this fall to present the
recommended improvements. We will notify you
at least two weeks in advance of the time and place.
The final planning report will then be compiled,
after which the project team will set the target
schedule for design and construction phases.
For more information about this project please visit our
website at http://stormwater.charmeck.org and click
on Storm Water Projects drop down menu in the green
bar, then Active Projects and Alanhurst/Cherrycrest.
If you have any questions, please contact Project
Manager Danée McGee at dmcgee@charlottenc.gov or
704-336-4102.

Don’t wash your car on your driveway or in the street.
Soap suds flow to the nearest storm drain, then
directly into the nearest creek. That could kill fish and
other aquatic life.
Instead, park your car on your lawn to wash it. Or,
better yet, take your car to a professional car wash
where the water is cleaned. You’ll have a clean car and
all of us will have clean streams.
