
Some disciplines may notice data that differ from the last program review snapshot. That occurs as a normal
course of business as data may have been corrected after the data were pulled for last year’s report.

As you review this year’s data, please take note in your PRAISE Report if you notice any inconsistencies that
warrant attention.

All program review data was pulled based upon discipline. The term 'discipline' was created internally by the
Research Office to best represent the current academic areas. For instance, anatomy, physiology, microbiology
and biology are all under the discipline of biology. However, social sciences and physical sciences are analyzed
separately. For this reason, some department chairs will receive more than one analysis.

Please note that each set of discipline data is in an Excel format (specifically Excel 97-2003 Workbook or *.xls
format), and each should include the following 12 spreadsheets with tabs labelled as shown below:
1. Courses = list of the courses included by Method (Online, Hybrid or Face-to-Face), Term, Discipline,
Course Count (distinct count of courses not sections), Course List.
2. F2F = Required IPR data for Face-to-Face courses (Unduplicated headcount; duplicated enrollments or

Victor Valley College Instructional Program Review (IPR) Demographic Data

Discipline specific (i.e., students enrolled in those courses) and Institution wide demographic data
include: Gender, Age, Ethnicity, and Credits Attempted
-
Counts are based on credit headcount as of first census, excludes work cooperation and honors.
Demographics are self‐reported at the time of application.
Age is calculated based upon the last day to drop a full term class w/out receiving a W grade.
Sections used were state funded and found within specified discipline.

Please note that each discipline has specific demographic data on a single PDF document. Please download and
save a copy rather than simply opening and viewing it within your browser.
