Biography of Mr. Dennis Vella

Mr Dennis Vella has over 25 years of experience in international trade, business development and project
management. He coordinated several business delegations and trade promotion events to countries in
Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. Mr Vella was also responsible for a number of schemes aimed
to support the growth strategies of SMEs including the franchising project organised with the
Commonwealth Secretariat. Mr Vella is currently the Project Leader of the Life Sciences Park, a leading
project in Malta that will offer around 5400sqm of space to support start-ups and other companies in
research and development in biotechnology and related sectors. This project is partly financed by the
European Regional Development Funds of the EU and will be completed in the last quarter of 2014.
Mr Vella is a graduate from the University of Malta with a B.A (Hons) in Business Management and an
Executive MBA. He participated in a number of specialised training courses abroad including in
Singapore, the Netherlands and Spain.
