The Department of Gender Studies will be
hosting a public lecture entitled
What the Mirabal Project tells us about domestic violence perpetrator programmes
Speaker: Prof. Liz Kelly - London Metropolitan University
Venue: VC Hall 101, Level 1, IT Services Building
Date: Tuesday 24th March 2015
Time: 18:00 till 20:00
Working with male perpetrators of domestic violence remains controversial, and there is an ongoing debate
about their effectiveness. This just completed research uses an original approach to what counts as success
and the talk will share what we learnt, not just about whether men change but how they do, and the
challenges for policy and programmes.
The general public is cordially invited to attend this public lecture.
For enquiries, please feel free to contact Ms Samantha Grima by phone (08:00-12:00) on 2340 3808 or
by sending an email to samantha.grima@um.edu.mt
