Welcome, Introductions & Roll-Call: Mason Mattie, president, called the meeting to order at 12:06 p.m. Welcome
and introductions were made; Anna Hebert, vice president, read the SGA meeting attendance policy and conducted
roll-call.
Approval of Meeting Minutes: Cody Gaeth, secretary, stated the minutes of the April meeting were posted
electronically; hearing no corrections, Mason Mattie called for a motion to approve; upon motion from Vanessa
Ceilley, United Web and Marketing Association and second from Grace Chitwood Christian Campus Fellowship, the
April SGA meeting minutes were unanimously approved.
College Update: Doug Gossen Vice President of Student Services, provided information about Achieving the Dream
which LTC will be implementing to be successful; Adjust services to help certain students; Finding the right classes or
schedules to help out students who might have conflicting schedules. Construction for auto-maintenance to provide
more equipment; Hiring a disability service instructor to help out students with disabilities.
2015-16 SGA Budget Overview & Request for Approval: Small portion that gets set aside from each credit paid $6-7
goes to SGA; Learn about Careers; Supports club assistance, travel grants, student planners, flu shot clinics;
orientation, graduation, club Funding, leadership, BINGO: social networking; student professional development
conferences, planners; LTC EXPRESS; printing; staffing for student support

Group 1

BPA $375 – Carlee Martinez; competition, traveling, entrance fees; book sale, computer sale, selling beef sticks;
networking

Campus Christian Fellowship $500- Grace Chitwood; Service project, Movie, Awareness, Religious diversity
among LTC

IT Club $375- Jordan, improve computer repair center ; training; computer sale
Group 2

Paralegal $375- Paris Xiong; fall seminar; Meet other paralegal; Big party paralegal; Valentine's day; penny war;
Promotes LTC Paralegal;

SHRM $375 – Jason Schema; October SHRM state conference; 2016 March student conference HR Games; First
tech college ever; 2 brat frys w/ Christian campus fellowship; crab ragoons; Meeting HR vendors, and HR world
to LTC;

Weld $500 - Chad Moan; Membership to weld society; Nov 10th fair show in Chicago; networking;

Motion: Mason Mattie called for a motion to approve the Funds. First motion was Sydney Christel, Dental
Assistance Club; the second motion was Tyler Claric, Auto Collision
Motion passes
SGA Officer Update: Mason invited students to join the Wisconsin Student Government representative group;
Mason asked Tammie to review upcoming activities—students were reminded to check their LTC email for the SGA
Student eNEWS Update, the student planner and large flat screen TVs for event information.
Career Placement/SGA Advisor Update: Schenk & Associates was here was here to tell students about hiring tips on
September 21; Foua reminded students about the variety of free services available to them from the Career
Placement Center—watch LTC email for updates and invitations.
Student Organization Input: None
Review Next Steps/Meeting Date: Next official monthly meeting of the LTC SGA is Monday, October 26, 12 noon to
1 p.m. in L147. SGA requirements, Annual Plan of Action/Roster and Funding Requests are due October 21 to SGA
Blackboard site. Questions about due dates see SGA Blackboard for details or contact Tammie Stahl.
Meeting Adjournment: Mason Mattie called for a motion to adjourn the meeting at 12:59 p.m.; upon motion from
Paris Xiong, Paralegal Student Association and a second from Tyler Claric, Auto Collision Club; Motion to adjourn
passed unanimously.
