American University Negotiation Project (AUNP)
AUNP will be hosting a Negotiation Simulation on the European Refugee Crisis on Wednesday, November 11th in MGC
Room 2 from 6 to 7:30 pm. If you would like to participate in the simulation, RSVP to aunegotiationproject@gmail.com by
Wednesday, October 28th. Available (team) roles include: United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Germany and the
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Information about each role will be provided to all participants.

Creative Peace Initiatives
Creative Peace Initiatives (CPI) has a goal to promote creative peacebuilding locally and globally. CPI creates
opportunities in the Washington, D.C. area for these initiatives through: (1) Service Program, (2) Trainings, Conferences
and Speakers, (3) Networking Opportunities. Although currently inactive, we are looking for new members to join and
revive the group.

Society for Peace and Conflict Resolution (SPCR)
There will be no SPCR meeting this Friday, October 23rd. However, all students are welcome to come to Johnny Pistolas
in Adams Morgan this Friday, October 23rd from 8 pm to 12 am for a SPCR-organized fundraiser for Project Amal ou
Salam, a charity that provides education to Syrian refugees. A ten dollar donation is requested at the door.

Winter Program on Multi-Track Diplomacy: Transforming Violent Conflict
The Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland is offering its Winter
Program on Multi-Track Diplomacy: Transforming Violent Conflict. This is an 80-hour program of evening seminars
and two weekend workshops, which provides training in applied conflict management skills applicable at all levels of life,
from interpersonal and organizational conflict to preventing wars and building peace. This program will not count for AU
credit unless otherwise stated. Please contact Professor John Davies with any questions at jdavies@umd.edu.
iTrek Public Policy Trip to Israel
Israel & Co offers trips to motivated and organized graduate students with an interest in peacebuilding. This is an
opportunity for a fully-funded 7-10 day trip to Israel with an entire student group, which can be organized independently or
by a professor. By connecting participants with organizations in Israel that are of interest to them, iTrek is a great
