REGISTRATION FOR COURSE UNITS 1.1 Registration procedures for the coming year’s course units were discussed and confirmed, including the role of Portico in registering students; 1.2 Due to our 3 new classrooms, we do not know yet which rooms will be available for language assessments – this will be confirmed and appropriate signage displayed over the building from Monday morning; 1.3 Tutors asked to keep a tally of how many student s are assessed for each level so that we have an estimate of numbers in preparation for timetabling; 1.4 Timetabling will begin on Thursday 27 September – Coordinators must be available to assist CH with this; 1.5 We will distribute registration information to Departments tomorrow – please can tutors be available to assist with this. REGISTRATION FOR ACADEMIC READING COURSES 2.1 Registration for Academic Reading in French, German or Dutch courses will take place at 2pm on Friday 5th October when any interested students must attend an introductory session with the course tutors, when levels and timetabling will be arranged. MEETINGS TO DISCUSS COURSE UNITS WEBSITE 3.1 Adam Salisbury is available to meet tomorrow afternoon to discuss the Course Units website; please arrange a time to meet with him directly. ANY OTHER BUSINESS 4.1 There will be a Fresher’s Fayre on Thursday 27 September; please could some tutors make themselves available for this for part of the day; 4.2 Huge thanks given to all tutors for working on producing material for the FCO bid.
