Prof. Joel P. Fowler
Joel P. Fowler, Jr. was an associate professor at Fresno State from 1989 to 1995.
He was the head of broadcast production and taught TV production, TV news, corporate
video, introduction to mass communication and several other courses.
Fowler received his bachelor of fine arts from the University of Texas in Austin and his
master’s degree in Mass Communication at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He has
co-authored a book, “Camcorder in the Classroom: Using the Video Camera to Enliven
Curriculum.”
He currently resides in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas where he works part time at the
Amon Carter Museum.
