IRA Application Deadline
(FRESNO, Calif.) Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) applications are now available and
due to Associated Students, Inc. on Friday, October 2.
The goal of the IRA program is to provide student fee funding for activities that will enhance the
learning experience for students outside of the regular classroom environment.
Instructionally related activities include, but are not limited to: intercollegiate activities, radio,
television, film, music and dance performance, drama productions, art exhibitions, publications
and forensics.
Any Fresno State student, club, or group of students can apply with the approval of the
department chair.
Activities must be departmentally based and sponsored, integral to course offerings, intensive
and structured activities, require active rather than passive student involvement, and engage
students in performances, presentations, or competitions that demonstrate skills from
participation in intensive class work.
IRA applications are reviewed during the fall of each year by a board consisting of faculty and
students. Download a 2015 IRA application and policy information on the ASI website or visit
the ASI business office in USU 317. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday,
