The meeting was called to order at 10:05a.m. in Thomas Administration, room #117.
1.
Minutes from April 9th, 2014 meeting could not be approved, as we did not
have a quorum of voting members.
2.
The committee decided to review materials from the last meeting at the end of
the last semester.

We reviewed APM 205 – Policy on Undergraduate Student Academic
Advising, the definitions of advising that we had drawn from other
sources, and our notes from the previous meeting.
3.
The committee selected key words and phrases relevant to a definition of
advising and agreed to submit definitions using these by the next meeting.
4.
Janelle provided an update on last semester’s review of campus-wide advising
and provided links to the summary and full review of this.
5.
Janelle suggested that wait for an update on a campus-wide advising model
but that we should move ahead with our first task of defining advising.
