The course will be spread over 8 weekends (48 hours of tuition),
commencing on Friday 1st August 2008. Lectures will be held on Friday
evenings from 1700 to 2000 hrs and on Saturday mornings from 0900 to
1200 hrs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
This course is intended for those who have general interest in criminology
and those who plan to follow criminology-related University courses. The
course will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of criminology
and how it is tackled in the Maltese Islands.

Note to applicants: The course will be offered subject to there being a
sufficient number of applicants. If the course is oversubscribed, places will be
assigned on a first-paid first-registered basis.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must normally have an ‘O’ Level standard of Education.
Applicants without these qualifications may be admitted, provided that the
Board of Studies of this course is satisfied that the applicant can follow the
course with profit.
COURSE FEE
The course fee is €300 per person, covering tuition, course notes and use of
computers.
CERTIFICATES
Candidates who pass the final written examination will be awarded a
Certificate of Successful Completion. Participants who opt not to sit for the
final examination and who attend at least 80% of the sessions will be
awarded a Certificate of Attendance.
