• The New Anglia Growth Hub was launched in June 2014.
• It is delivered and managed by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for
the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
• We exist to help drive growth and enterprise across Norfolk and Suffolk.
• Funded by the Regional Growth Fund secured as part of the Norwich
and Ipswich “City Deals”.
• We aim to support up to 3000 businesses by May 2015. We are on
target.
“New Anglia Growth Hub is a Local programme, developed and designed
by Local organisations, operating locally to meet Local business needs.”
• Team of ten local Business Growth Advisers, supported by two admin
staff and the Growth Hub Manager.
• Strategically located closer to businesses. We come to you.
• Covering the whole of Norfolk and Suffolk.
• Working in partnership with National, Regional and Local organisations
and authorities.
The help and support is FREE to pre-starts, start-ups and existing
enterprises. We offer:
• Face-to-Face meetings to identify your business needs.
• Gain access to a range of grant funding, finance and support to help you
grow.
• One main point of contact.
• A telephone helpline for real advice.
• An online business information portal for current information.
We are the sum of all our partners
• Almost 1800 engagements with businesses/individuals
• Over 1100 referrals to partners and business support organisations
• Alison Bilyard had previously made jams,
chutneys, pickles and cakes for friends
and family
• Decided she wanted to turn it into a
business
• New Anglia Growth Hub referred her to
NWES to help her get set up
• She launched the company in July 2014
• Now seeking to grow the business steadily
and aims to open a shop
• The hub can offer her additional support
throughout the lifecycle of her business

• A University of East Anglia graduate has
been appointed for sales and marketing
support. Funded through New Anglia‟s
Innovation Voucher Scheme - 50% match
funded internship

• Been in business for 20 years
• Were looking to upscale the business,
expand premises and take on sales staff
• Contacted New Anglia Growth Hub to find
out about grant funding

The Business Growth Service
The Business Growth Service brings GrowthAccelerator, the
Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and schemes from
the Intellectual Property Office (IP Audits) and the Design
Council (Designing Mentoring) into a single service.
Export support is provided by UKTI and UKEF. The service is
closely linked to InnovateUK and the British Business Bank.
How does it work?

What is a STEM Centre ?

It is a specially designed state of the art teaching and
activity space incorporating exhibition areas

It is focused exclusively on delivering educational and
instructional activities in areas of
Science,Technology,Engineering and Maths

The centre promotes STEM subjects and key local
industries in a dynamic way and creates a culture of
innovation, enquiry and adventure

It will involve the latest interactive technology and
interactive exhibits to inspire young people in terms of
science and technology
