Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited was set up by the
National Union of Students in 1965 and we are the only
insurance provider recommended by the NUS.
We have policies especially designed for International
Students studying in the UK, which will protect your

Do I need insurance?
Endsleigh, in association with UKCISA (The UK Council for
International Student Affairs), has produced a travel
insurance policy specifically designed for International
Students who come to the UK to study.
You should consider purchasing both travel insurance to
protect yourself, and possessions insurance to protect
belongings. Both can be provided by Endsleigh.
You should make sure you have adequate medical
insurance to cover medical costs if you fall ill, and also to
cover the additional possible costs resulting from illness.
These can be substantial, and include:
• Loss of fees if you are unable to complete your course
• Additional treatment and medical expenses not covered
even extend your cover beyond your room to anywhere
in the UK and up to 30 days worldwide.
• If you have a laptop you can cover this too –
anywhere in the UK and up to 30 days worldwide.
Even if you are entitled to free National Health Service
treatment whilst in the UK, you should consider taking out
travel insurance which covers the above additional costs.

you financially against unexpected medical and hospital
bills not covered by the National Health Service and

• Emergency dental treatment for the immediate relief of pain.
• In the event of your death, we will pay for the funeral costs in the UK plus reasonable
costs to return your ashes home or reasonable costs to repatriate your body.
