Members of AAMI was encourage to
join Brother 2 Brother (B2B) . The
Picture to your left are member of
AAMI and B2B after their Showcase
performance in October. New members of B2B are in white shirts on the
front row.
Community Service Event
Participate of AAMI, volunteered their Saturday afternoon with New Life International Ministries, here
in Barnesville, Ga for there Fall festival. They help
with setup , danced ,and participates in activities with
children, some are displayed on the picture.
Helping Students Achieve Their
Academic and Personal Goals
A selective group of AAMI participants were given
the opportunity to attend the SAAB & SUAVE
Summit 2013 at Georgia Southwestern State University on October 19, 2013.
Students learned what is means to be successful or
significant to learning how to save and budget
their income.

we would like to thank
Dr. Chad Davies and Dr.
Mayo for reaching out to
assist in the goal and
mission of AAMI, B2B,
& GFYE. Dr. Mayo presented to the group two
workshops on memory
improvement and All-inOne Study Skills Workshop . Dr. Davies present Time Management goal setting. Thanks to both,
Dr. Mayo and Davies for their time and wiliness to assist in such goals. A special thanks goes to
Dr. Brenda Johnson and other faculty and staff members that are in the works of how they can
better assist with students of AAMI.
Challenges
One of the main challenges that AAMI faces are ways to keep students participation in our weekly meeting and turning in process
report. To increase participation effects, AAMI was generous
enough to have received wonderful donations room from Gretchen
Favors– Sodexo and Sharon Lloyd– Students Activities. Over 41
items as give always. AAMI thanks these two departments and welcome any other department that would like to offer any incentives or
suggestion to increase these efforts. In addition, we must understand that incentives can increase participation, attendance, etc. but
each student must have intrinsic motivation to be successful.
Many of AAMI students are in financial and experience needs.
AAMI would like to ask those to think about having possible internship or even a position sit aside for AAMI students . For this will
give students experience and sit them in a professional work environment. If you or your department would like to assist in any of
this efforts please contact, Fredrick Bailey.
AAMI is more then what is seen on paper or may have be presented
to others. As my experience with student in AAMI, B2B, and
GFYE, there is a lot emotional, spiritual , guidance beyond academic that I provided for our students. This is an …..
