READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST
If you have been given an Answer Booklet, follow the instructions on the front cover of the Booklet.
Write your Centre number, candidate number and name on all the work you hand in.
Write in dark blue or black pen.
Do not use staples, paper clips, highlighters, glue or correction fluid.
Answer three questions, each on a different text. You must choose one from Section 1, one from
Section 2 and one other.
Write your answers in Chinese.
You should write between 500 and 600 words for each answer.
Dictionaries are not permitted.
At the end of the examination, fasten all your work securely together.
All questions in this paper carry equal marks.

周秀花：你倒想得好，可哪能那么容易！去吧，小花，在路上留神吉普车！
王大拴：小花，等等！
王小花：干吗？爸！
王大栓：昨天晚上……
周秀花：我已经嘱咐过她了！她懂事！
王大栓：你大力叔叔的事万不可对别人说呀！说了，咱们全家都得死！明白吧 ?
王小花：我不说，打死我也不说！有人问我大力叔叔回来过没有，我就说：他走了
谁知道咱们有钱没有呢！唉！
好几年，一点消息也没有！
（康顺子由后面走来。她的腰有点弯，但还硬朗。她一边走一边叫王小花。）
康顺子：小花！小花！还没走哪？

王安忆：《本次列车终点》
(a)
火车驶过田野，驶进矮矮的围墙，进市区了。瞧，工厂、楼房、街道、公共汽
车、行人……上海，越来越近，越来越具体了。陈信的眼眶湿润了。心，怦怦地跳动
起来。十年前，他从这里离开，上海越来越远，越来越渺茫的时候，他何曾想过回来。
似乎没有想，可又似乎是想的。在农村，他拉犁，拉耩，收麦，挖河，跑招工，跑招
生……后来终于上了师范专科学校，毕业了，分到那个地方一所中学。应该说有了自
食其力的工作，有了归宿，努力可以告终，可以建立新的生活。然而，他却没有找到
归宿的安定感，他似乎觉得目的地还没到达，没有到达。冥冥之中，他还在盼望着什么，
等待着什么。当“四人帮”打倒后，大批知青回上海的时候，他才意识到自己在等什么，
目的地究竟是什么。
