Pain Management Clinic
The Pain Management Clinic is a multi-disciplinary department that provides
treatments for chronic pain conditions.
The Clinic offers a wide range of treatments. Some are aimed at reducing the
severity of pain such as drugs, injections, TENS (an electrical stimulation device) and
acupuncture. Other treatments are aimed at reducing the disability and/or the
distress caused by pain, including the approach adopted by the physiotherapists and
psychologists.
After an initial assessment, multiple sclerosis (MS) patients are seen according to
their treatment plan, which may range from weekly to six monthly appointments.
