RE: Funeral Notice – Grace Goodie
Dr. Grace Goodie was a valued member of the Prairie View A&M University family. She served the
University through work in the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences in each of the three
component parts of the College – teaching, research, and service. She was always eager to give her
very best for leadership and support of the multifaceted work within each program area. She
sincerely identified with the unique problems and issues faced by many of our students. She was an
initiator and supporter of student program activities and served as a mentor for the Purple Jacket
and a student Life Coach. Goodie served a part of the Women’s Council on Leadership and Service
and was especially active in supporting the “HATtitude tea party.” Dr. Goodie also served as the
Speaker of the University Faculty Senate. All who witnessed her enthusiasm for life will miss her.
Visitation is Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. in the All Faiths Chapel. The services
will follow at 11:00 a.m.
