INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
• Place fixtures so that they will not come in contact with flammable materials.
• Use only insulated staples or plastic ties to secure cords and 12V wiring.
• Route and secure cords and wiring so that can not be pinched or damaged.
• Cut a 2-3/4" x 8-11/16" rectangle in surface (Fig. 1)
• Make all the appropriate electrical connections between the fixture and the
power source.
• Guide top of fixture into place, the squeeze the bottom tab and push the
fixture into the hole. Fixture should be held in place by the retention clip on
fixture. (Fig. 3)
• Not suitable for covering with thermally insulating material.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Fixture requirements: (1) 1W, 350mA LED
Driver requirements: 120V, DC Constant current 350mA – maximum load
of driver should match fixture layout requirements.
• Provide UL listed driver and enclosure for load required. (Verify with LED
driver manufacturer specifications for correct loads and wiring diagrams)
• Connect power supply to LED driver. (Fig. 2)
• Connect black to black (hot), white to white (neutral), and green to green
(ground) with twist type wire connectors (not provided) on primary side
• Secondary side provide Class II plenum rated wire (minimum 18-2) to
connect in series (red to black) for proper connections.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
• Read all the instructions before installation. Save instructions for later use.
• Turn off power at fuse or circuit breaker box before installation or before
doing any maintenance work.
• Product must be grounded to avoid potential electric shock and any other
potential hazards.
• Product must be mounted in locations and at heights and in a manner
consistent with its intended use, and in compliance with National Electrical
Code and local codes. Use of accessory equipment is not recommended.
• Installing contrary to instructions may cause unsafe conditions.
• Do not block light from the trim aperture, in whole or in part, as this may
cause unsafe conditions.
• Warning: Risk of fire. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire
rated at 60°C. Consult a qualified electrician before installation.
• To avoid hazards to children, account for all parts and properly dispose of
all packing materials.
