Called Attendees to Order: Utpal Goswami, Jeff Cummings, Mike Peterson, Julia Peterson, Angelina Hill, Cheryl Tucker, Roxanne Metz, Crislyn Parker‐notes 2. Action Items – N/A 3. Discussion Items There was general discussion of what people want to see in a one‐page summary document. 3.1 One‐page Synopsis of the Institutional Planning Process (attachment)  Discussion on how the one‐page summary should look differed, IEC members agreed to do a brief one‐page concept and forward to Roxanne. She will revise her draft and another to beta test at the student services retreat. 3.2 Program Review Templates (attachment):  Suggested to include mission statements for service areas and more labor market data for CTE matrix. (It was discussed that by including, it shows we are looking at it). The IEC discussed that looking at data can show trending, but many skills used in various areas aren’t easy to track 3.3 Institutional Data Set Prompts:  Discussion that two years of data do not really show trends  A prompt instructing author(s) to comment on their program’s relationship to the district data.  A prompt informing author(s) to use the overall data for program review purposes, and keep section detail for departmental use only.  What does the IEC want program review to say based on data: o Enrollment prompt: explanation if your program drops significantly below district average o Demographics prompt: (frequencies will be added). explain if your program is outside a 5% variance of the location distribution. Note that if enrollments are fewer than 25 students, don’t comment; it is too low to compare. o Equity Prompt: if below the district average then comment/explain. o Persistence Prompt: compare persistence whole program to district persistence, and explain discrepancies. o Prompt Completion Degree & transfers: prompt will be left to PRC o Curriculum Prompt: if curriculum updates are not current, explain why. o FTES prompt (will have district comparison): comment if there is significant change from one year to the next 4.
