Discipline Code/ Prerequisite Change
New course requested by local law enforcement agencies.
The course is one needed for law enforcement officers to
legally issue citations as a result of a traffic collision.
Course update. ESL-210 is a competency-based curriculum;
the new Course Learning Outcomes now reflect the key
competencies that students should be able to do at the low
intermediate level in order to demonstrate proficiency. The
new Concepts list the content the students will engage with
and practice to meet the competencies outlined in the new
Course Learning Outcomes. The Representative Assessment
Tasks have been modified to better assess for the updated
Outcomes. In addition, the current Curriculum Proposal form
(revised 09.09.14) requires Course Objectives and Methods
of Instruction, which have been included in this update, and
the retake policy has been updated to “Unlimited” to align
with other noncredit course offerings.
