Need for fundamentals for some
Less topics/more focus on one topic might be easier – break into more pieces
Evaluation provided good feedback
Need to build stronger connection to program review and assessment for all staff
Seem to be losing our sense of urgency – should we meet in larger groups more
frequently?
We may not be able to control what happens in other departments – but we can take
care of our own work
Like the idea of process that leads through the work with an interactive theme – define
terms – help people through thought process of what we did last year and how to
continue work, instead of starting from scratch
Need to have similar understanding of “closing the loop”
Need to have a teach-in next on assessment software changes
Closing the Loop (CTL) discussion:
We need clarification on whether or not CTL is something that must always occur, or are there
assessments in which it would be okay not to CTL. It seems that this is something we should always be
doing.
Can CTL also be defined as not needing to re-assess anymore? If so can we have a box to check off on
that.
We also need clarification on the time-line for CTL – should it be done within one year or can we do it at
a later time?
Need a format for CTL to ensure we report in a robust manner and are all consistent (year, method,
results-what year gathered from, improvements recommended, will be re-assess next year or not?) –
the text box we have now may not provide the detail we need.
Assessment Plan language – in CTL column “enter no if it is a brand new outcome.”
New Web Assessment:
Like the additional language in B. (CTL) – but shouldn’t this be mandatory – when would we not close
the loop? Could we add language – Check if action/changes are indicated or if you continue to gather
data.
Other: Need assessment retreat forum feedback – talk to staff
