Minutes of the Feb 9th/2000 meeting were approved.
After a general discussion about the status of the Regester lecturer and after a paper ballot, Geoff Proel
was selected as the 2001 lecturer.
The status of travel funds was discussed. In March 1991 $26,000 were left in the funds but only $14000
in March 2000. The Committee supported funding all first trips and felt the faculty should be informed by
email that second trips that have been approved may not receive funding and that prospects for new
second trip applications were not that promising.
A general discussion ensued about raising the maximum limit on student grants.
