Approval of Minutes

The minutes from the September 30, 2015 meeting were approved.
Faculty Development Funding Committee

Committee presented, and recommended, sabbatical applications from the following
faculty members:






John Gronbeck-Tedesco
Pinar Kayaalp
Sam Mustafa
Rebecca Root
Peter Scheckner
Unit voted to recommend the sabbatical applications.
Committee Reports

ARC submissions are due next week.

FAEC is working on a capital campaign taskforce for the library and a principles of
shared government agreement between the faculty and administration.

AFT announced that a deans’ survey will go out to the Unit next week.

AFT will also host a solidarity walk on October 14 at the Arch.

TLTR grant deadline is November 21.

Gen Ed will host an open forum on October 21.
Advisement Workshop

Joe Connell conducted an advisement workshop and fielded questions from the Unit.
Dean’s Report

The Dean congratulated Sam Mustafa for receiving the Bischoff Award. The
ceremony will take place on October 14.

Those who wish to submit requests for Latin American travel funding should do so
as soon as possible.

The next Open House Event will take place on October 10.
