Product Explanation Sheet
Outcome: Create a food web.
Materials needed:
-access to a computer or
-drawing materials, magazines, etc.
Steps:
__ 1. Review your “Food Web” worksheet to refresh yourself on what you learned
about producers and consumers (organisms). Do not include decomposers in
your food web.
__ 2. Review rubric.
__ 3. Create your Food Web by using PowerPoint, Inspiration or Kidspiration software.
OR
Draw your own Food Web and include pictures (e.g., magazines) or your own
drawings of the producers and consumers.
__ 4. Select pictures of organisms appropriate to Hawai’i and the ecosystem.
__ 5. Make sure you label each organism.
__ 6. Draw arrows to show energy sources for each organism.
__ 7. Display your Food Web in assigned area.

software programs, and/or contact the technology teacher at your schools.
