“Introduction to Quantum Computing”

Bringing together ideas from classical information theory, quantum mechanics, and computer
science, researchers are molding a new and rapidly growing field called quantum computing. We
introduce quantum computing by outlining the basic ingredients one would need to build
quantum circuit models, and describe algorithms that can solve nearly impossible problems. We
end by discussing quantum teleportation.
