First Morning Session: (9:00–10:30) Open to all participants • Commedia dell’Arte – with Antonio Fava, master teacher of Commedia dell’Arte Gestures, improvisation skills, and the use of masks as seen in 16th and 17th century Commedia sources Second Morning Session: Baroque technique classes (11:00–12:30) • Baroque Vocal Technique masterclass – With Julianne Baird, specialist in technique and repertoire of early vocal styles • Continuo skills  Use of 17th century treatises by composers such as Agazzari, Bianciardi, Penna, and repertoire as a source for improvised early baroque vocal and instrumental accompaniment – with Christa Patton, Edoardo Bellotti, and Deborah Fox • Baroque string technique and repertoire – Dongmyung Ahn • Harpsichord Instruction – Bellotti • Lute Instruction – Fox • Historical Dance instruction – Dorothy Olsson First Afternoon Session: (1:30 – 2:45 Monday –Wednesday) • Sourcework – through the examination of 17th century treatises, letters and repertoire  Developing practical skills in ornamentation - Baird  The musical system of the early 17th century as applied to the preparation and performance of repertoire - Patton  Sessions in Italian language and diction, Italian rhetoric and prosody, times to be announced - Ronis  Historical Dance instruction - Olsson Second Afternoon Session: (3:00–7:00) • Musical rehearsals – Patton • Staging rehearsals – Fava • Diction coaching – Ronis
