Dear Candidate,
Thank you for taking an interest in becoming a member of the Council of
Student Leaders. Student government is something that is invaluable to every
college campus, and by applying, you have demonstrated an interest in becoming a
better leader and a representative of the Winthrop University student body.
You are aware that you will be responsible to commit approximately three
hours per week on CSL related projects and meetings. Dedication in this
organization is vital if CSL wants to make a difference at Winthrop. If elected, you
must realize that you are NOT only representing yourself, but you are also
representing the student body and serving as the face of Winthrop to the outside
community.
Council of Student Leaders meetings will be held every Monday at 7pm. You
will be responsible to attend all meetings and engage in discussion. You must
maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 in order to remain a voting member on the
Council.
The Council of Student Leaders is a great organization with a diverse group
of individuals. There are a tremendous amount of benefits from being a CSL
member. CSL takes an active role in the decision-making process to help benefit
students, and therefore, the Council of Student Leaders should be one of your top
priorities.
