Traditions are being made at Methodist College. We opened
to students in 1960, and students have played a major role in
the direction our college has taken. As
liberal arts senior college, we offer quality
education and encourage academic
excellence. Innovations in the academic
program are being made continuously.
Undergraduate degrees are offered in
art, biology, chemistry, economics and
business administration,
elementary
teacher education, English, French, history, mathematics, music, religion, sociology, Spanish and political science. Our
education program prepares
elementary school teachers
and secondary school teachers
of English, French, Spanish,
mathematics, science, and
social studies, and special
teachers of general music. In
addition to our regular fouryear program, we offer a
special three-year degree program to highly-qualified high
school graduates entering college for the first time. Personalized degree-completion
programs for military personnel are available also.
Among less than 1,000students, you
will receive benefits of small-class
instruction and faculty counseling.

north of downtown Fayetteville and sixty
miles south of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Our uniquely modern campus is terraced
on 600 acres of rolling woodlands near
the Cape Fear River.
Additional information about Methodist College may be
obtained from our Admissions Office through the use
of the form below. The college is open to all qualified
students without discrimination. We evaluate applicants
on an individual basis. Your grades, attitude and
character references are considered. Although each
applicant is required to take the SAT or ACT, there is
no specific cut-off score on either test. Transfer students
and junior college graduates are welcomed. Annual
tuition and general fees for 1973-74 amount to $1,400.00
and room and board total $1,000.00 per year. Financial
aid is available through scholarships, grants, loans
and campus employment.
