Please explain/justify the new proposal or change. 
The curriculum of the School of Media Arts provides a platform for students to maximize their
artistic potential through the study of emerging digital technologies and their aesthetic
application. They will be working in a hyper-connected digital technology environment and a
solid understanding of the digital language will be critical. In order to meet this need and in
keeping with our critical/creative thinking approach, the faculty feels that students would be
better served if they were provided the opportunity to incorporate one of the symbolic system
sequences into their studies.
