Committee Information Sheet
All of the following are committees within the SGA:







Advertisement/Promotional Affairs
o Shall be responsible for all advertisement and promotional affairs for SGA
Sponsored events, shall also assist other registered student organizations who
solicit additional advertisement and promotions
Homecoming Committee
o Shall be responsible for conjuring of and/implantation of new ideas and
existential events throughout the week of Homecoming. Will also be
required to have a representative at all Homecoming Planning Meetings.
Panther Empowerment Committee
o Shall be the impetus for invoking school pride throughout the university.
This committee shall also be responsible for hosting Athletic Pep-Rallies,
Spirit Rallies, and Bon-Fires…
Political Action Committee
o Shall be the official lobbying committee of SGA. Members shall be
responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with members
of the Texas Legislature, Congress, and Local Political Activist group.
Recruitment& Retention Committee
o Shall be responsible for recruiting and retaining members for the Student
Government Association. Will also be responsible for representing SGA at
Registered Student Organization Open House
Rock The Vote
o Shall be responsible for registering students to vote, educating students on
the importance of voting and political structure, and encouraging voter
participation
Secret Shoppers Committee
o Shall be responsible for anonymously auditing various service providers
on campus. Shall also be the host of the Organization Review Board.
