***Stay Fit! Days (bi-weekly Thursdays): Feb. 20th; Mar. 6th; April 10th, 24: Stay Fit nights are all about
being active and healthy…. anything from working out, to log rolling, or rock climbing! Look forward to future
emails.
Sledding @ Iverson: Feb. 7th, Fri. 6pm. – Individual sledding, bring a sled if you have one, meet at the West
end of the TNR at 5:30 PM, wear warm clothes!! WiNR will cover sled costs or other Iverson fees. EMAIL
MOLLY IF INTERESTED.
Rib Mountain Snow-shoeing!: Re-Scheduled TBD.
Prep for Valentine Fundraiser- Feb. 10, Mon. 6-7pm. Please join us Monday night in Rm. TNR 122 to help
WiNR prepare for our upcoming Valentine Fundraiser. We will be making cards to sell as well as other small
items. Please bring crafts or items that you would feel necessary.
Valentine Fundraiser!: Feb. 13th, Thurs. 9-3pm, West end of the TNR. Support WiNR in their first fundraiser
of the semester: Valentine’s Day bake sale! Whether you help us to make cards or baked goods OR volunteer
at our booth, any help would be appreciated. All Proceeds will be going to WiNR.
Student Involvement Fair: Feb. 13th, Thurs. 6-8pm- Visit WiNR at their Booth and encourage friends to
attend! Great time to learn about our events, Pay Dues, Fill out paperwork, and meet your officers!
Volunteer for Dog Sledding Race in Antigo!: Feb. 15th & 16th, Sat & Sun. Join us in volunteering for The
Wisconsin Trailblazers Organization 2 day dog sled race in Antigo, WI! We will have the opportunity to see
dog sledding up close and learn some of the behind the scenes workings of the sport. Most importantly, we
will volunteer by assisting with traffic control, helping to prep the dogs, record times, and act as watch guards
along various points of the race. We will be leaving early Saturday morning sometime around 7:30am. We are
staying over-night in a cabin that is heated. WiNR will provide dinner and breakfast. Please bring personal
snacks, warm clothes, and sleeping gear. Sign-up outside of the SSC (TNR 180).
Ethno botany Club: Feb. 17th, Mon. 5 or 6pm. Join us with the Ethno-botany club and learn how to make one
of the following: Soap making, Volcano Juice, Herbal Tea, etc. (Details TBD)
Natural Craft Day at Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Reservation:Mar. 1st Sat. 8am: Travel with us to the
Stockbridge Reservation in Bowler, WI and make your own Leather Pouch! Leaving from the WEST end of
TNR Building at 8am, back on campus around 4pm. (Attendees will pay for materials to make pouches and
small fee for gas) LIMIT 12 people.
Tribal Member Speaker: Mar. 3rd, Mon. 6pm. (Details TBD) RM….
How to Survive Summer Camp: Treehaven (TNR 170), Europe (TNR 122), CWES (TNR 120): Mar. 10th,
Mon. 6pm. Informational meeting on this years summer sessions. Also, learn about possible job opportunities
at Treehaven and CWES. Note that sessions are in separate rooms according to which summer program you
are in.
Maple syrup Tour @ Brillion Nature Center: Mar. 29th, Sat.: Have you ever been interested about how
delicious Maple Syrup is made? Well now is your chance to find out! The tour will last from 10am-12pm, and
we will meet at the West end of the TNR at 8:30am that morning. If you are interested in taking this tour with
us, then you should sign-up outside of the SSC TNR 180. (Distance: 1 1/3 hours) Check out this link if you

CNR Women Alumni Panel: Mar. 31st, Mon. 6-7pm: 3 to 4 CNR Alumni Women will present at this Monday
meeting.

WiNR Women Faculty and Staff Social Potluck!: Apr. 14th, Mon. 6pm. (Location TBD) Various UWSP female
Faculty and Staff will be present to mingle with our WiNR members and discuss their steps to success!
Archery with Izaak Walton League: Apr. 16th, Wed. 4:30-6:30pm. Try your hand at archery with the Izaak
Walton League! This lovely student org has once again agreed to teach us a few archery skills. We will be
leaving the West end of the TNR @ 4pm and begin shooting at 4:30pm. Pizza and drinks provided. Sign-up
required.
Earth Day Fundraiser! Apr. 23rd, Wed: (Details TBD)
Natures Sense Gardens CSA and Camping!: Apr. 25th-26th, Fri and Sat . Adventure with us to this wonderful
Holistic CSA Farm in Edgerton, WI. We will learn all about how this CSA got started in just 3 years as well as
their Holistic Childcare Services. Other time spent will be towards volunteer work (such as planting fruit
trees) to help out this lovely family!
Other possible APRIL events- Fire Arm Safety-Learn how to hunt (Turkey), Paint-balling!
Kayaking and Fishing!: May 2-3rd, Fri & Sat: (Fishing License with WiNR at Fleet Farm: Other Details TBD)
End of the Year Picnic @ Schmeeckle Pavillion: May 5th, Mon. 6pm. Meet us at the Schmeekle Pavillion for
our end of the year picnic, walk-over to Belts for ice cream 
Farmers Market and Cultural Festival!: May 10th , Sat: Travel to Downtown Stevens Point to our local
Farmer’s Market, and afterwards to the SPASH Cultural Event.

28; May 5.
