PURPOSE OF CONFERENCE
To provide the continuation of an international forum for the exchange
of information, sharing of common concerns, and discussion on the international cooperation for natural and cultural resource management between Mexico and the United States.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
•
Identify issues affecting management of wildlife and recreation
areas.
•
Develop contacts and establish informal networks among public and
private resource managers, educational institutions, and policy
makers.
•
Increase awareness and appreciation of the complex issues facing the
border states in the protection of the environment and utilization of
recreational resources.
•
Provide input to the respective state governors concerning major
issues identified by the conference.
