Abstract:
The presentation will focus on the perspective of industry partners in the GEOIDE
Network. Since many of the companies involved in GEOIDE are very small, they face
some unique challenges in meeting the demands of collaborative research projects. Such
firms typically have limited resources to devote to research and need to see short-term
business benefits from these investments. In addition, the staff members that are best
qualified to participate in joint R&D projects are also heavily committed to day-to-day
operations. These types of challenges will be discussed and suggestions for improving
results for industry partners will be presented.
