Foster timely degree completion
Reduce the achievement gap
among all underrepresented
groups
The Evidence Team will soon be looking at
UW-SP’s retention data and will identify
where students of color are lost or struggle
on the path towards degree completion.
Provide comprehensive support
services to enhance the quality
of experiences for all students
Their data-findings will lead to inquiry into
day-to-day practices and practical
recommendations on how UW-SP can
address the achievement gap.

Support a culture of continuous
improvement through
assessment of student learning,
programs and services
The Equity Scorecard process provides
faculty and professional development in
methods of self-assessment. Faculty and
staff use data to identify gaps in student
outcomes by race/ethnicity and then
assess day-to-day practices.
Support and expand faculty and
staff professional development
opportunities that focus on
teaching and learning
In order to maintain this learning, the
Equity Scorecard process of data and selfassessment should be incorporated into
existing structures – such as faculty and
staff development opportunities.

Goal: Cultivate an Inclusive and EcologicallyResponsible World View Among All Constituents

Implement appropriate and
assessable curricular revision
that promotes cultural diversity
and inclusivity
The Evidence Team will soon begin looking
at course-to-course persistence rates,
which opens the door for classroom selfassessment and identifying how
classrooms be more inclusive.

Ensure that the university’s
intellectual, cultural, and
recreational resources and
activities enrich the lives of
people throughout our
community, state, nation, and
world
The team has identified that Latino/a and
Hispanic students are underrepresented at
UWSP compared to the local community
and may choose this area as a point for
further inquiry to produce practical
recommendations.
They’ve also identified transfer as an
opportunity for increasing UWSP’s racial
and ethnic populations.

findings, recommendations, and goals.
