You are required to leave the hall within 24 hours of your last Įnal or by the date/Ɵme stated above, whichever is earlier.

Before leaving for summer, please complete each item and check it oī (each roommate!). Put your name(s) and departure

††Place all nonrecyclables in the dumpster outside.
Recyclable materials (including bricks) should be
placed in the recycling tent. BoƩles, cans, paper and
plasƟc should be taken to the recycling areas.
††Return any hall items or food service dishes.
††Take down your bunk/loŌ or other construcƟons.
††Return beds and dressers to their original locaƟons in
the room.
††Remove ALL tape and poster puƩy from the walls,
ceiling, door and door frame (helpful hint: older tape
and puƩy can be loosened by lightly heaƟng the area
with a blow dryer).
††If you rented a refrigerator, contact your DM to set
up a Ɵme to return it. DO NOT leave it in your room,
hallway or any other area. Staī will NOT return your
unit for you! If not returned properly, you are liable
for the full cost of replacement ($80).

††Do general cleaning.

Wastebaskets empƟed/cleaned

Floors vacuumed (carpeted rooms) or swept/
wet-mopped (Ɵled rooms)
•
Surfaces cleaned with appropriate cleaners (see
cleaning kit list)
•
Remove debris from your window tracks
††Close window, open curtains.
††Clean/wipe out all desk and dresser drawers.
††Have everything out of your room and your room
cleaned before you sign up at the front desk to check
out. If you do not properly check out, you will be
assessed a minimum $50 charge.
††Sign your room condiƟon inventory record regardless
of whether or not damages are being assessed.
You will be asked to accompany a CA through the common areas of your Ňoor (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, lounge room) and to assist in
removing debris.
Both roommates are responsible for the condiƟon of the room, not just the last person to leave. Failure to properly prepare your room
for closing will result in billing charges for cleaning, trash removal, and/or health and safety violaƟons.
There is a minimum $50 improper check-out charge if you do not follow these steps PLUS charges for damages, cleaning
and keys. There is an ADDITIONAL charge of $25/15 minute-increment for late departures.
