List two things about the course content, materials or design that were
effective for your learning, or make constructive suggestions for
improvement.
The book of course, how can you learn without the book, and the fact
that at the beginning of every class we were able to ask our
questions even though there was the math lab, for someone like me
who goes to school full time and also works full time, I wasnt able to
make it to the math lab so I was grateful for that
Class website found online that was updated on a regular basis if
there were any changes that occurred in the schedule. We covered
the materials that were planned. Stayed on course in the class and
did not go off on tangents.
The book just wasn't well put together. It didn't explain concepts well,
didn't explain why they performed an operation in the examples
provided, or just plain didn't have good examples for some of the
problems.
I loved everything that we covered and it was nice to look back and
see how much each section had built off of content the was covered
previously. I feel that there could be a more effective book with better
examples and explanations.
None of it. Math and I just don't mix.
Good lecturing technique, except that she wastes time writing down
longwinded definitions that are unnecessary, and to most, don't help
in understanding the subject.

and beyond the call of duty to help out her students! I appreciated
that she collected our homework because it became an incentive to
get it done.
We had a lot of homework to keep us updated and we were
challenged to learn a lot on our own. We also had the opportunity to
ask questions before each class which made tyou want to be in class
because your questions were always answered.
the book was somewhat helpful but could show more examples forthe
hw exercises. it was better to work off the book than webct.
the homework reflected what would be on the tests and we got allot
of practice from it.
I appreciated her great attitude in class, very approachable during
class, after class etc. She made it possible for me to do the best I
have ever done in math.
Everything could be found on the website: class schedule, homework
assignments, even the instructor's class schedule.
The methodical and organized structure of the class was helpful
along with the time she took to answer all of our questions.
Professor was very enthusiastic, and went the extra mile. I learned
alot when i was open to learning, and was still able to get enough
help to get by when i wasn't. Very helpful overall.
You always explained things so I understood them
Jen is literally THE BEST teacher I have ever had. She teaches very
well, encourages questions and for people to bring up easier ways.
You can tell that she loves what she does by the way she teaches
the class.
I already knew some of the material
i believe using a microphone in such a large room would make
instruction easier.

Jen was really nice and really helpful. If you had a question you
werent afraid to ask and you knew that she would be able to answer
it and show you a problem in a different way if you didnt understand
what she had previously done. She is an excelent math teacher!
She encouraged class participation and explained concepts very well.
The professor was too hot, I couldn't concentrate. Not that it's her
fault, she can't help it. That's just the way it is.
She was always willing to give any help needed whether in class or
during tutoring sessions. She often mentioned alternate methods for

solution, but would not go into them in detail, which would have been
helpful to some students
notes
She was super helpful and patient all of the time and was willing to
help before and after class also during office hours. She was great!!!
Jennifer Had a dteiled way of going step by step in every
mathemathical problem and it helps you see how to think and analyse
a problem and actually find it easier to solve than how it appeared at
first.
helped all the students understand the materila 100% and spend half
the class answering hw questions and was available for tutoring
Please, for the sake of people like myself who can not hear very
well,speak up
she was able to help every day before class and helped us over e
mail when needed.
She didn't make herself above the students. Was a strong leader, but
was also humble admitting mistakes.
She was able to cover concepts thoroughly without rushing, adjusting
the schedule to allow more time on concepts when needed. Posting
homework and quiz solutions that she had written out, as well as
exam reviews/summaries on the website was helpful- more than many
instructors are willing to do!
She put in a large amount of time to prepare us for the exams and
make up helpful reviews. She also graded quickly.
Great!
I think that she is a very valuable teacher and that if there were only
more teachers like her I feel the entire college experience would be of
greater worth. And to whom ever reads this... you need to do
whatever you can to keep her at all costs because no matter what,
she is worth it to the students she teaches! Thanks Jen.
she was a very good teacher and was able to work with all of us and
help if there were questions
She was great, she showed me that homework really is important
very knowledgeable good at explaining how things relate
Always willing to provide additional examples and go over an area
that was difficult to grasp. Treated students with respect and
kindness.
You were GREAT! I appreciate all your feedback that you would give
on my exams. It was so nice to be able to discuss with you were I was
at in the class and have the opportunity to improve. I felt fully
supported to succeed. An extra thanx to the lab sessions set aside
for our class and tutors in the math building.
