PG games: Typical findings
• One-shot, and first stages of repeated trials:
Subjects generally contribute about 40-60 %
– there are substantial contributions and free-riding
• Contributions decline with repetition
– often rather dramatically
• If players can punish each other (at a cost)
– Low contributors are punished
– Average contributions stay high, and may increase
(even to 100 percent, or close to 100 percent).
