Diploma of Introductory Undergraduate Studies Regulations

Made by the Monash University Council

Version incorporating amendments as at 3 November 2011

1. In these regulations ' diploma ' means the Diploma of Introductory Undergraduate

Studies.

2 . Where the dean of a faculty is satisfied -

2.1.1 that a candidate for a degree in the faculty has satisfactorily completed subjects in the course of study for the degree totalling at least 48 credit points;

2.1.2

that the subjects -

2.1.2.1

constitute an academically coherent program of study; and

2.1.2.2 were completed in a minimum of one year of full-time or the equivalent of part-time candidature, and a maximum of six years; and

2.1.3

that the candidate is required to discontinue his or her studies for reasons other than unsatisfactory academic performance - the dean may certify that the candidate has satisfied the requirements of the diploma.

3.

A person whom the dean has certified as having satisfied the requirements of the diploma, is qualified for the award of the diploma.
