BUSINESS WORK EXPERIENCE SEMINAR
Catalog Description:
96 - Business Work Experience Seminar
(May be repeated 3 times)
1 unit
Focal point for the coordination of curriculum with college supervised part-time or full-time
employment in major field. Case studies, job related problems, student cases and presentations, and
material related to employment, organizations and management; emphasis on building strong
working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers. Corequisite: Business 95.
1 hour.
Expected Outcomes for Students:
Upon completion of the course the student should:

understand and practice better interpersonal communication with supervisors, subordinates, coworkers, and customers;
gain a better understanding of other people, their jobs and the similarity of work related
problems encountered by other students;
develop an understanding of the effect of interpersonal relations on job performance;

gain self-confidence on the job.
