GM/RT2484 Issue 2 Draft 3a: Audibility Requirements for Trains
Extract from GE/RT8000/TW1 Issue 6 Draft 1: Preparation and Movement of
Trains - General
Thank you to all people and organisations that commented on the above documents, dealing
with train horns.
In accordance with the Railway Group Standards Code, I now attach summaries of the
comments received and the Rail Safety and Standards Board responses, together with the
latest drafts of the documents. Our responses were reviewed and approved by:

Rolling Stock Standards Committee on 26 January 2007 for GM/RT2484
Traffic Operation and Management Standards Committee on 06 February 2007 for
GE/RT8000/TW1.
The final drafts were also presented to the same Standards Committee meetings and approved
for publication, subject to no further comments being received within two weeks of the date of
this letter that would require further consideration by the relevant Standards Committee.
