Information Technology Operations Plan for Freddo's Ice-Cream of Argentina
Spring 2011
Freddo is Argentina’s largest premium ice-cream chain boasting earnings of nearly $50 million USD in 2010.
 Interviewed the IT departments of several companies in order to benchmark their IT operations
 Wrote a 40 page, single space, IT Operations Plan for Freddo's Ice-Cream of Argentina, based on
interviews, experience, and research, detailing all of the company's technological aspects (IT
budgeting, data backups, IT employees, networking, strategic planning, mobile technology, etc.)
USAA Mobile Banking and Game Development (Team Leader)
Spring 2010
The United Services Automobile Association (USAA) is a financial
services company that offers banking, investing, and insurance services to active or honorably discharged
military personnel and their families. USAA was the first bank to allow check deposits via smartphones and is
considered a leader in banking technologies.
 Proposed, designed, and prototyped potential mobile uses, experiences, and designs to support and
engage members in all aspects of their daily banking, investment, and insurance needs and wants
 Contrived a financial planning video game to buttress, guide, and educate members' in regards to
their long term financial objectives
 Performed a system request and feasibility study for the aforementioned financial planning video
game which entailed the business need, requirement, and value to USAA, as well as the technical,
economic, and organizational feasibility of the endeavor
 Orally presented to USAA's Executive Director (Jeff Dennes) and IT Director (Chris Courtright), once
in person and once by teleconference

Data Security Plan for Genesis Networks Solutions (Team Leader)
Fall 2009
Genesis Networks Solutions (GNS) is a privately held company whose core business is
software testing in an open web-based environment in the industry of telecommunications. To date,
GNS has logged more than 600,000 billable hours to its clients.
 Interviewed GNS representatives on three separate occasions in order to gauge their data security
needs and wants
 Wrote and architected a data security plan to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of GNS's
information, and to protect its tangible and intangible assets; the secondary purpose of the plan was
to inform all stakeholders of GNS's data security policy
 The plan was orally presented before the company's CEO (Mark Viertel) and IT Director (Josh
Roberson) and is currently in use

The Texas Workforce Commission is the state government agency charged with
overseeing and providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers of Texas.
 Sole researcher charged with creating industry-custom reports containing occupational wage
information, and projections for the next 5 years, to be sent out to over 700 business in 19 counties,
spanning 12 major industries (Construction, Manufacturing, Health Services, etc.) and approximately
300 job titles

Alta Vista: Adult Education Teacher’s Aide

Alta Vista is an Adult Learning Center, and part of the Abilene ISD, whose
ESL segment specializes in teaching ESL to refugees from the International Rescue Committee and
acclimating them to U.S. culture, transportation, and government and banking systems.
 Taught multilevel ESL classes to students from across the globe and to refugees often illiterate in
their own language
 Served as translator to Spanish speaking students
 Developed exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, across different age groups, social
classes, and cultures
 Formulated lesson plans to meet the educational/ESL needs of each student relative to their own
culture and age
 Created a database of student information in order to facilitate access to information, and provided IT
support as needed for the database and any another language learning software utilized

Spring 2011
Springboard is an entrepreneurial competition held annually by Abilene Christian University. Competitors
include faculty and students from various universities, as well as the local community.
 Wrote a business plan detailing the opportunity, target market, value proposition, implementation,
finances, and viability of the endeavor
 Presented before a panel of judges
 Honorable Mention in the student division
 Won $1000 prize for the idea of transcultural learning software
 Created the transcultural learning software, 4 Tongues, which can be found on the Apple App Store
and the Android Market
 Consequently began a mobile software and web development business (AwakerTech)
Regression Analysis of Financial Aid allotted to Hispanics

 Created a quantitative model to depict and provide analysis of what would happen to Hispanic
retention rates at ACU if financial aid and scholarships were further allotted to Hispanics, and to
discover what effect this endeavor would have on profits, per student and the Hispanic population as
a whole, as the revenues of retention met the expenses of further financial aid
