Donald E. Tidrick
Dr. Tidrick joined the faculty at NIU in the Fall of 2000. Prior to that he was on faculty at The University
of Texas at Austin, where he was the Associate Chair of the Department of Accounting and Director of
the Professional Program in Accounting, UT's 5-year program. Before that, Don was on faculty at the
University of Notre Dame.
He received his Ph.D. and B.S.B.A. degrees from The Ohio State University and his M.B.A. is from the
University of Wisconsin - Madison.
A CPA, Don is also a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Management Accountant. His research
interests primarily involve audit decision making and accounting ethics.
Don's teaching interests include assurance and financial reporting courses. He has published in a variety
of academic and practice-oriented journals, and is an active member in a variety of professional
organizations.
