1.
Currently, supplier profiles are accessed via the Catalog Management navigation tab. In 13.1 there will be a new Supplier
Management tab from which your organization can view supplier profiles.
2.
The shared cart feature will allow organizations with lab workgroups or small departments to combine shopping and
purchasing into shared carts for group orders. All group members will be able to simultaneously shop and monitor cart
contents, avoiding duplication, while alleviating workload on lab managers and administrative personnel that are currently
processing multiple individual orders. With group shopping, shared carts can also be used to achieve discounts with those
suppliers that provide bulk order discounting.

The shared cart feature will require the creation and management of shared cart user groups. Users with appropriate
permissions will be able to manage the user groups and share carts with users in those groups.
Users will have the ability to restrict shopping on a shared cart by locking the cart. This function will be useful when a cart
needs to be edited or is being prepared for submittal to avoid any changes being made while the cart is under review.
Your department will need to work with TechBuy support in order to train your department on the feature and to enable it.
3.
The final improvement are cosmetic changes to the layout of TechBuy. Because of the extreme changes, this will require
training for end-users in order to familiarize the users with the new layout. We expect to roll this out to a few test users in the
next few months and then to the campus early this summer. More information on this will be released at a later date.
