1.6) Do you have any suggestions for improvements for ILL service?

Good Job. Keep it up.

I HATE to read books on a screen, so I would rather the default provision of text (or books) be print rather than electronic.

Earlier I emailed that I thought the login box for ILL should be placed higher on the first page than it is (or was as of two weeks ago). It should also be highlighted (differently colored?) in some way.

I don't see how you could get much better than you already are.

I find the log-in part of the system a little confusing. It seems like when I come in from certain databases, I am already logged in and it all just happens automatically, but from other areas I have to log in to Illiad specifically, even if I have already logged in to the library website.

Maybe that is not right. Obviously, I have to log in at some point but it doesn't seem to work the same way every time and I don't do it enough to figure out what I'm doing differently from one time to the next.

I have used this service numerous times in the past 15 years and am totally satisfied.

Is there any easy way to load information about publication into ILL service instead of typing each and every entry once we find it online?

Can there be a window in which we can just copy reference?

It would be nice if electronic delivery of journal articles could be in the PDF format provided by the journals rather than photocopies. On the whole, however, the service is great. Keep up the good work.

It would be nice to be able to pick up the ILL books at the front desk rather than coming upstairs and into the ILL office.

It's perfect!

No.

None, thank you for all you do!

Sometimes I wait two weeks, then I forgot that I ordered that article, but it was still useful. Better late than never!

Sometimes a translation (by computer program) would help to decipher the content of an article in a language that I have no experience. In the interest of economy, then if the content appears still of value a professional translation could be considered.

The only problems I've had have been that sometimes the quality of the scanned articles is less than desired, but this problem lies with the originating library and not with the department here at South.

There have been a few times that I needed to drop off ILL books after hours, but I feel uncomfortable leaving them in the book boxes outside the building. It would be better if the library had a slot in the outside wall to drop books off inside the library. I do realize this is not specific to ILL, but it is usually ILL books that I do not want to leave in the boxes or expensive books from our own library.

To my knowledge students are asked to pay out of pocket for some ILL sources that come with a fee. Please press administrators to set aside funds to pay for student ILL usage so they have access to the best sources for their research. Otherwise, the ILL service is great, top notch. In fact, I worry we rely on it *too much* at the expense of developing our own collections.

keep doing a great job!!

need more detailed step by step guidelines for electronic books, I have always confused about how to use it.

It also would be good to have an easier way for us to know how many journals that we can access and in what way.

none not really. I have gotten great response from ILL

1.7) Do you have any other comments?

As my responses above indicate, I have been very pleased with all the library services.

As the University of South Alabama Library has a very limited music section, I, and my students, depend on ILL to provide many scores that are require for research and performance. The ILL librarians are fantastic, knowledgeable, and precise. They have always provided the exact edition requested and are always helpful. ILL is, without any doubt, one of the very best services the U.S.A. Library provides.

Congrats!

Good service. Thank you.

Great service!

Honestly, I could not do my job without the Interlibrary Loan department! They have been extremely helpful the entire time that I've been here and deserve all recognition and credit for the success of their program! I look forward to working closely with them for many years to come (so make sure that their budget allows that to happen)!

I am very thankful to the ILL team - I would not be able to conduct research or finish revisions of my book without them! Keep up the good service!

I cannot rate 1.3, having had no experience of it.

I couldn't complete my research without you!

I have never had much difficulty with the interlibrary loan system. If I have frustration sometimes it is because I have to resort to interlibrary loan for a few journals I think should be available through the USA library.

I haven't used ILL in five years maybe.

I haven't used the electronic document delivery part of ILL, but, since there was no "N/A" option, I decided to put "Excellent" anyway, as I feel the physical item ILL services I have used to date have been great. Thank you for making materials so easily available!

ILL is consistently excellent. Not only do they get you what you need in a timely way (and the cheapest way possible), they go out of their way to help you locate items you need. I have mostly worked with Debbie, who is super competent. I cannot say enough about how lovely it is to work with everyone there.

ILL is great!

If it were not for ILL I would not be able to do my work. It's that simple.

It's frustrating to have to pay to get some items -- this means that our students are unable to have access.

Keep up the good work!

Loved working with the ILL people.

Online Document Delivery unused by me, so no comment. Book delievery from other libraries always timely: excellent. Your staff very professional, very friendly. Keep up the great work!

Our ILL staff is brilliant. They make my life much better!

Over the years that I have been here, the staff has been very friendly and helpful.

I am especially thankful to Debbie Cobb. She has helped me with great patience.

Thank you for your excellent help.

Thanks for the great job you do. I have NEVER had something you could not find and provide!

The ILL department is doing a fantastic job! I do think the website is a bit cluttered. At first I couldn't even find the login button. Now that the login button has been moved and is red, it is much easier to find.

The ILLiad people are the best! I depend heavily on them to find articles in journals that we don't have in our collection, and they deliver reliably and rapidly. I'd be lost without them. Whatever resources they need to continue doing what they do, the University should provide them.

The Interlibrary Loan services is excellent. I appreciate the staff's efforts to provide what I need in a very timely manner. No complaints whatsoever!

The main library staff are very friendly and helpful! Keep the good work up!!

The responses have been much faster than anticipated.

This is a great process that I recommend to students and faculty!

You always do such a great job!

You are doing a great job. no none they are excellent through and through a best thing on the campus
