All bolded courses meet general education requirments.
For the Secondary requirement a student must take five art studio classes outside their major concentration. The five classes can be in a single secondary discipline or the
student can choose an interdisciplinary focus which consists of three studio classes in one area (i.e. photography) and then two other studio classes that do not have to be in the
same area.
The areas to choose for the Secondary concentration are: Painting, Printmaking, Photography, Ceramics, Glass, Sculpture, or Interdisciplinary
*Students who earn an English ACT score of 27, or a written SAT score of 550, can opt out of EH 101.
**Must have one history elective and one literature elective. In addition, students must choose a second history or literature to complete a two-part sequence.
***Any mixture of three of the following drawing classes can be taken including: Figure Drawing I, II, III, Conceptual Drawing I, II, III, as well as Color Theory (222, 322, 422, 225,
325, 425, 326).
Two designated writing (W) courses are required with at least one course chosen from offerings in the student's major or minor. Courses carrying this required credit are
identified in the University Bulletin by a (W) after the course title.
The Sample 4-year plan is designed as a guide for students preparing for their course selections. This information provides only a suggested schedule. Actual course selections
should be made in consultation with an advisor.
