National Consortium: Contract signed between ARA and BSOP to digitise over 100
regional archives’ collection of school registers up to 1914. Imaging began September
2013.
WO 95: scanning complete. Final tranche of images ingested into DRI. Second batch
released on Discovery in March 2014. Galaxy Zoo crowd sourcing indexing ongoing. 4
year plan to digitise the rest of WO 95. Pieces 1-571, 3949-4193 & 5000 set for
digitisation in 2014/15. Conservation due to begin Q2 2014. Imaging to begin Q3 2014.
Naval CR Cards and Registers: Investment Bid to scan and accession digital records
from MoD to add to the existing ADM 188 and other series. Imaging complete end of
March 2014. Final Image QA checks and image ingest underway. The images will be for
sale, transcription and licensing in 2014. Probable Launch on Discovery tbc.
1939 National Health Registers Service Concessions contract (not standard LIA as the
records contain some 27% closed material). 41 million names across 1.4 million images
in 7000+ registers. Preferred bidder has been identified as DC Thomson Family History
(owners and operators of Findmypast and GenesReunited websites) who will create
digital images for TNA to accession.

preparation and digitisation of the following boxes of colonial records of Dutch Guyana

Prize Papers conference at TNA 6-8 October 2014ahead of EU funding bid with
University of Oldenburg for cataloguing and digitising in a European network
Brill: First unit of Interrogation Reports (American Revolutionary Wars) due to launch
June 2014. Second unit of Interrogation Reports (7 Years War & War of Austrian
Succession) from HCA 32 selected and imaging complete by Reprographics. Scoping of
unit 3 has begun.
