Monthly Report of the Committee on Committees for January 2013
New Academic Senate Committee Members
Whenever vacancies on committees become available the members of the Committee on
Committees (CoC) vote via e-mail to appoint new members. Here are the changes that the CoC
were made aware of, voted on, and approved:
1) Committee on Awards and Scholarships
Due to her election to Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages, Dr. Sharon Reeves
resigned from the Committee on Awards and Scholarships. The CoC elected Wei Lai of the
Department of Foreign Languages to fill this vacancy.
2) Committee on Assessment
Prof. Barbara Rome, Assistant Professor of the Nursing Department, was elected to fill a
vacancy created when Professor Patricia Burke left the college.
