Minimum Qualifications: Graduation with a four year degree and five years management experience in a human services agency as stated above, four of which must have been in social services; OR Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work (macro or management practice) or Business and three years of experience in a human services agency.
Duties: Under the supervision of the Guilford County Director of Social Services, the individual will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and evaluation of Federal, State, and
County public assistance and employment programs. As the senior manager for the Economic
Services Division, insure the division administers over 500 million dollars annually of economic services (Medicaid, Food and Nutrition Services, Child Care Subsidy, Work First, Crisis
Intervention, etc.) accurately, timely and consistent will all federal, state and local standards. In addition this position is responsible for organizing the work and structure of the division, leading and managing over 200 staff and enhancing a culture of competence, professionalism and high quality customer service. Additionally, this position is a key leadership position and must work collaboratively across the departments of social services and public health in a consolidated health and human services environment.
